Through a facilitative MSD approach, WASI improved the functionality of local markets by strengthening linkages between producers, traders, service providers, and financial institutions. The programme reduced systemic constraints affecting value chains, enhanced access to inputs and services, and promoted sustainable market engagement without distortion, particularly benefiting women and youth entrepreneurs.
